New to RC and Nitro

Hey all. I was at Trade Days in Nacogdoches a couple weeks ago and some guy was selling his XTM ex-terminator 2 and seeing as I'm a big kid I always wanted an RC car. Well..I bought it for $40. Now at that price you gotta know there's no way it runs properly. Well after a new XTM 24.7 engine($50) I am up and running.

Going to Wings and Wheels on Saturday to see if I can buy some fuel and some glow plugs. They offered to help me tune it a bit too. So I'm a brand newb in East Texas(moved from Toronto Ontario Canada) and also a newb to RCing. I just gotta convince the wife that this is a worth while hobbby now :)

Any future wisdom would be welcomed in regards to nitro rc.

Oh and does anyone know if there are any local places in Nacogdoches that I can get fuel and stuff rom?

Welcome to ETRC and East Texas! I'm not much on Nitro... Mainly cause I don't own any. Wings and Wheels will likely be your best bet for support. Not sure of any hobby stores down south. Mail order might be the easier option.

There has been a shrinking interest in R/C around here. Maybe its the economy, weather, or folks are just too busy. Any rate, we are glad to have you.
